Default Icy Vein spamming?

I've been thinking about getting Icy Vein elite since I then only have to put my attributes into 2 areas, Soul Reaping and Blood Magic, and I've been thinking since it has only a 5 secound recharge time, could you spamm this spell on everyone and killing them farley quickly so they hurt other foes, and the chain continues?

anyone know of a good build with Icy Veins?

o yeah, and I only have Prohpicies and Factions

From my experience, foes are too spreaded to be hurt by icy veins.
if you really wanna use it, try it with soul barbs. A fun team build with that is having someone carying recurring insecurity.
And 5 seconds recharge + 10e cost doesn't make it really spammable.

IV is mainly used in coordinated spiker teams in PvP, with the point being to leave the secondary class completely open.

i think it could work in certain quests/missions, where you know there will be a load of foes all over your party.

In this type, it could work as n/rt with destruction (spirit), icy veins (sr) putrid bile (dm) and rising bile (dm).

then you got 2 aoe's which trigger over time, and 2 which trigger upon death.

However, with 10e cost the spammability is low, and you'll need to focus the damage on the target with icy veins to make sure it dies, removing the use of its aoe component as the ele's in your team will have dealt with that already.
For the other 2, well, they are useless unless you know the fight is still going after 20-30 sec... and in that case a MM will have a better fit in the party.

So, it could work but it will not be the best option.

Well I sometimes use a fun build to cause a little AB mayhem....i'm pretty sure it could be adapted:

*Icy Veins, Deathly Chill, Rotting Flesh, Vile Miasma, *Rising Bile, *Putrid Explosion, *Well of Suffering ...

Its nice for dealing with an opposing mob...but for pve i guess throw in a Rez, and depending on the enemy you could switch out Rotting Flesh.

Perhaps drop Vile Miasma for some form of energy management. This isnt really an issue in AB (or at least it hasnt been for me) with enough in soul reaping and exploding people all around.....you know... :3

*these are essentially the core of the build.

..In the right situations, when used in combination with ele's and a couple of pressure char's...this build can be pretty devastating.

It's nice but pales compared to SV or SS. Against low level mobs you can wipe out a heap, but against tougher foes its cold damage so you don't actually do that much against armour or high hp. And at 10 energy, you'll be wasting a heap of energy to do any damage at all. Think there's a new gwen skill like this that doesn't take your elite slot. Better off with that and SV I reckon. Or go curses. SS is still king with some aggro management I reckon.

I personally find Death magic to be much better for icy veins, if you wanted you could try this:
